Woodbridge, Robert Loder (printer & bookseller), copper Penny Token 1796, bust of cartographer Thomas Sekford three-quarters right, legend commences .THO: SEKFORD ESQ . FOUNDED WOODBRIDGE ALMS HOUSES 1587, rev. arms of the Sekford family in palm wreath, outer legend reads AT WHOSE EXPENCE COUNTY MAPS WERE FIRST ENGRAVED 1574, edge PUBLISHED BY R . .LODER 1796. xx ., 34mm, weight 20.36g (DH 15). Small scratch within a die flaw in part of reverse legend, otherwise as struck with full original colour and lustre, an exceptional specimen.
