Victoria 1891 Halfpenny

Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Halfpenny, 1891, "bun" type laureate and draped bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D: rev. Britannia seated right on rock with trident and shield, lighthouse to left, ship to right, date in exergue, denomination in words and toothed border surrounding, weight 5.74g (Fr.364 dies 17+S; S.3956). Light tone over considerable lustre, with patch of old thumb-print, otherwise uncirculated.

The Latin legend on obverse translates as "Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
