Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1877 M, Melbourne Mint, first young filleted head left, W.W. raised but incomplete on truncation for engraver William Wyon, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. St George and dragon right, long tail to horse, date in exergue, small B.P. initials to upper right, weight 8.01g (Bentley 765; McDonald 154; Marsh 99; S.3857). Lightly toned, lightly bagmarked, otherwise extremely fine.
