Victoria (1837-1901),silver Florin, 1852 with stop after date, crowned Gothic type bust left, WW below for engraver William Wyon, Latin legend with linear and beaded border surrounding both sides, date in legend in Roman numerals with stop, Victoria dei gratia britanniar. Reg: f: d. mdccclii,rev.crowned cruciform shields, emblems in alternate angles, quatrefoil at centre, denomination legend, +One florin+ in upper half, one tenth of a pound in lower half (Bull 2820; Davies 721; ESC 806; S.3891).Attractively toned, has been graded and slabbed by PCGS as MS64.

We note currently that a total of 120 examples of the 1852 Florin have been graded across both services of which only nineteen are graded finer than this coin offered herewith.
The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
