Theophilus (829-842), gold Solidus, Syracuse, ΘЄOFILOS, facing bust with short beard, wearing crown and loros, holding cross potent, rev. ΘЄOFILOS, similar but wearing chlamys and holding globus cruciger, 3.80g, 6h (S. 1670; DO 24). Good extremely fine.
