Scotland, William III (1694-1702), silver Ten Shillings, 1696, laureate and draped bust left, value 10 below, Latin legend surrounding, GVLIELMVS. DEI. GRATIA, rev. quartered shield with escutcheon of the Lion of Nassau, legend surrounding MAG. BRIT. FRA. ET. HIB . REX. 1696, edge obliquely grained (SCBI 35, 1753-5; SCBI 70:1193-4; S.5687). Toned, with wear to high points, has been graded and slabbed by PCGS as VF25 and rare.
PCGS Certification 868743.25/50649549.
The Latin legends translate to on obverse "William the Third by the Grace of God" continuing on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
