Scotland, 1817 cancelled merchant countermark

Scotland, cancelled Merchant countermark upon Spanish Eight Reales of Ferdinand VII, 1817 JJ, Mexico City Mint, Mexico, possibly Galston Society of Ayrshire, cancelled with a grid iron cancellation, weight 26.80g (cf.Manville 33). Toned with a deep off kilter cancellation to extinguish the original countetmark, good very fine and rare.
