Ireland, Royal Dublin Society, adult admission ticket, struck in brass by Parkes of Dublin, Hibernia seated left, with books, shield and fasces, holding spear looking right, PARKES DUBLIN in exergue, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, NOSTRI PLENA LABORIS, rev. ADMIT / ONE in two lines with curve lines surrounding, legend reads ROYAL DUBLIN SOCIETY, weight 12.69g (Davis and Walters 123/175). Toned extremely fine.
The motto in Latin translates as "Our work bears fruit." the Royal patronage of the Society occurred from 1820 onwards.
