Ireland, James II (1685-91), copper Halfpenny, 1688, laureate and draped bust left, legend surrounding, IACOBVS. II. DEI. GRATIA, rev. crowned harp, date either side of crown with legend surrounding, MAG. BR. FRA. ET. HIB. REX, weight 7.41g (DF 365; S.6576). Toned, some light marks, about very fine for issue, scarce date.
The Latin legends translates on obverse as "James the Second, by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
