Henry VIII (1509-47), Posthumous issue under Edward VI (1547-50), base silver Penny, crowned facing bust of King, beaded circles and legend surrounding with double lozenge stops, without mint mark, H: D: G: ROSA: SINE: SPI., rev. long cross fourchee over quartered shield of arms, beaded circles and legend surrounding, CIVI TAS LON DON, weight 0.64g (N.1883; S.2417). Toned, weak in parts, about very fine for issue, rare.

The Latin legends translate as on the obverse " Henry by the grace of God a rose without a thorn" and on the reverse "City of London".
