Henry VII (1485-1509),gold Angel, class III, St Michael killing dragon with lance, both feet on dragon, beaded circle surrounding, initial mark escallop (1493-95) both sides, rosette stops and abbreviated Latin legend both sides hEnRIC'* DI'* GRΛ'* REX* ΛnGLIE *Z* FRAn',rev.ship sailing right, quartered shield upon hull, cross above, h to left, rose to right, PER* CRVC'* TVΛ'* SΛLVΛ* nOS* XPE'* REDE', weight 4.94g (cf.Schneider 515; SCBI 23 [Ashmolean], 12-16; N.1696; S.2183).Perhaps once cleaned, now lightly toned with light crease, good overall detail, near very fine and a very rare issue and mint mark.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Henry by the Grace of God, King of England and France"; and on the reverse "By Thy cross, save us, O Christ, our Redeemer".
