George V 1935 Maundy Set
George V (1910-36), half-silver Maundy set, 1935, Silver Jubilee Issue, Four, Three, Two and One New Pence, each with modified bare head of King left, with raised BM for Bertram Mackennal on right of truncation, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS V D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP: rev. re-engraved design of crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (Bull 3996; ESC 2552; S.4043). Lightly toned, mint state in red oblong fitted case of issue.
The mintage for all four denominations for 1935 would produce 1,928 Maundy sets for the Silver Jubilee.
