George IV (1820-30), gold Sovereign, 1824, first laureate head left, initials B.P. below neck, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F:D:, rev. St. George and Dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, WWP on ground line below lance for William Wellesley Pole, weight 7.96g (Bentley 15; Marsh 5; S.3800). Slightly worn with some surface marks both sides, otherwise a fine example, graded by NGC as XF45.

NGC Certification 3636157-008.

Calendar year mintage 3,767,904.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George IV by the Grace of God, King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
