George III (1760-1820), gold Third Guinea, 1800, first type, first laureate head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA., rev. large crown, date in legend surrounding commencing at lower left, . MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., weight 2.79g (MCE 452; S.3738). Toned, almost extremely fine and a rarer type.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III by the grace of God" and on the reverse "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
