George III (1760-1820), copper Farthing, 1799, by W J Taylor, laureate and draped bust right, tiny raised dot on shoulder, three berry wreath, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX, rev. inverted die axis, Britannia seated left on rocks with shield and trident, holding olive branch, ship sailing right to left, waves below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIA above, *1. FARTHING.* below, edge grained, weight 6.35g (Peck 1279; S.3779). Lightly toned with plenty of underlying lustre, good extremely fine.

The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "George, by the grace of God, King" and on the reverse "of the Britains."
