George III 1788 Droz Sixpence
George III (1760-1820), Pattern silver Sixpence, 1788, engraved by Jean-Pierre Droz, crowned GR cypher, laurel branches around, toothed border around rim both sides, rev. struck en medaille, Britannia seated left on globe with shield, holding spear and olive branch, date in exergue, legend around BRITAN NIA. edge milled, weight 2.58g (Bull 2216; ESC 1642). Attractively toned, a few light digs on reverse otherwise good extremely fine and scarce.
