George III (1760-1820), silver Maundy Set, 1786, Fourpence, Threepence, Twopence and Penny, laureate and draped bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding both sides, GEORGIVS. III. DEI. GRATIA., rev. crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX. (Bull 2236; ESC 2418; S.3762). All toned, the larger two a little unevenly, dig on neck of Groat, otherwise good very fine to extremely fine.
The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "George the Third, by the grace of God" continuing on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
