George III (1760-1820),silver Twopence or Half-Groat, 1772, young laureate and draped bust left, legend surrounds, GEORGIVS. III. DEI. GRATIA.,rev.crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, legend reads MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., weight 0.90g (Bull.2274; ESC.2241; Robinson p.160:258; S.3756). Dark tone, X scratch in front of face and other light hairlines, a bold very fine.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George III by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland.
