How will my purchases be shipped?
We ship via registered post for items under £3,000 and by courier for more valuable or bulky items. Every shipment from Sovereign Rarities is fully covered by our insurance. If you are concerned, please contact us with any queries at info@sovr.co.uk.
What happens if I’m not entirely happy with my purchase?
On bullion products the price of goods are linked to underlying metal prices or financial markets and all sales are final, there are no refunds or exchanges. There is no statutory right to return or cancel an order once placed under the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 or Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
However, for non-bullion items, should you be unhappy with your purchase or it is in any way not as described we will accept refunds within 14 days of you receiving your item(s). If uncertain about a purchase, we encourage our clients to ask any questions beforehand so as to minimise the time our valuable coins spend in transit.

George III 1765 Twopence, rarest date
George III (1760-1820), silver Twopence, 1765, young laureate head right, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS. III. DEI. GRATIA., rev. crowned 2, date either side of crown, .MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., weight 1.01g (Bull 2272 R3; ESC 2239 R3; C&R 1049 R5; Robinson 247; S.3756). Toned, clasp mark on rim at top of obverse, some surface marks, otherwise almost very fine and very rare.
The Latin legends translate to on obverse "George the Third by the Grace of God" continuing on the reverse in abbreviated Latin "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
Brian Robinson writing in "Silver Pennies and Linen Towels" in the notes to his tabulation 29 on page 160 of the George III maundy coins that indeed the maundy coins of 1765 are the rarest. He repeats the information from table 10 in this book that on the 27th March 1765 that 808 Twopences, 537 Threepences and 310 Fourpence coins presumably of the 1765 date were delivered to the Mint Office.
