George II (1727-60),silver Penny, 1750, young laureate and draped bust left, legend surrounds, GEORGIVS. II. DEI. GRATIA, no final stop,rev.crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, legend reads MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., weight 0.51g (Bull.1831; ESC.2342; Robinson p.159:223; S.3715a). Mottled brown tone, with much eye appeal, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS62.
NGC Certification 8220387-020.
The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George II by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland
The 1750 Penny is the only small silver coin of this date there being no maundy set available.
