George I 1721 silver Twopence

George I (1714-27),silver Twopence, 1721, laureate and draped bust right, legend surrounds, GEORGIVS. DEI. GRA.,rev.crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, legend reads .MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., larger lettering, weight 1.00g (Bull.1631; ESC.2222; see Robinson p.157:173; S.3656). Some haymarking, toned with all stops apparent, some flecking a bold very fine.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George I by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."

The 1721 Fourpence, Threepence and Twopence are the only small silver coins of this date there being no maundy set available.
