DEF., value TWO POUNDS below, rev design by Thomas T Docherty of a running track with 1908, TWO POUNDS 2008 superimposed, surrounded by LONDON OLYMPIC CENTENARY, and edge inscription THE 4TH OLYMPIAD LONDON, 15.97g (S. 4951). As struck, lustrous mint state in original Royal Mint wooden case and presentation black box with certificate of authenticity.
