II. DEI. GRATIA. BRITT OMN. REGINA. FIDEI. DEFENSOR,rev. crown at centre, cruciform emblems around, emblematic shields in angles, date either side of Welsh leek, toothed border and raised rim surrounding, edge with incuse English legend, +FAITH AND TRUTH I BEAR UNTO YOU (ESC 393F; Bull EGC 4330; KM 894; Davies 113; S.4136).A superb example with full residual mint lustre, graded by NGC as MS65.

Calendar year mintage 5,962,600.

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Elizabeth the Second by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith".
