Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Halfpenny, sixth issue (1582-1600), portcullis with chains, initial mark anchor (1598-1600) above, rev. long cross fourchee, three pellets in each angle, outer beaded border both sides, weight 0.32g (Withers 1n; N.2018; S.2581). Lightly toned very fine, a pleasing example of the smallest hammered silver denomination of the reign.
