Edward the Confessor Penny London, expanding cross light

Edward the Confessor (1042-66), silver Penny, expanding cross type (1050-53), lighter issue, London Mint, Moneyer Wulfred, diademed bust left with sceptre, bust to bottom of coin, Latin legend commences upper right with toothed border surrounding, +EDPI RD REX, rev. pellet in double annulet at centre of cross with expanding limbs, all within linear circle, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, +PVLFRERED ON LV, weight 1.13g (N.820; S.1176). Some peck marks each side, rim a little chipped, dark tone, good very fine.

The Latin legends translate as "Edward King" on obverse and "Wulfred of London" on the reverse.
