Edward I (1272-1307), silver long cross Penny, class 3g (c.1280-81), Chester Mint, facing wide crowned bust, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, commences at top, +EDW REX ANGL DNS hYb, rev. long cross pattee, trio of pellets in each angle, CIVI TAS CES TRIE, weight 1.35g (N.1022; S.1420). Toned with some ghosting of reverse cross, otherwise a bold very fine and rare.
