I.R at centre, lozenge above and below, beaded circles and legend surrounding, *OF. CERNE. ABBIS..., weight 0.85g (Boyne 32; BW45). Some Verdigris spots, toned about very fine.
Cerne Abbas is a one issuer location for 17th Century tokens and there is a surviving will written on 10th November 1699 and proven on 23rd October 1700 by a John Randall Merchant of Cerne Abbas, son of Thomas Randall and brother of Elizabeth, Thomas and James.
