Great Mongols, coinage of Genghis Khan (AH 603-624 / 1206-27 AD), anonymous gold Dinar, a type struck during Chingiz Khan's reign and posthumously, Dihistan AH 639, khalima with date formula around, rev. titles al-Khaqan / al-'adil / al-'azam, and mint, in four lines, 4.58g (A 1966). Practically mint state, with clear mint and date, possibly the finest known specimen of this mint and perhaps the only one with a legible date.
Ex Heritage 6 January 2013, lot 21710 (USD 4800 hammer).
