Australia, Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1867, Sydney Mint, second young filleted head left, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D:, rev. AUSTRALIA centred within crowned floral wreath, SYDNEY MINT above round, denomination ONE SOVEREIGN below round, edge milled, weight 7.97g (Bentley 650; McD 114; Marsh 373; KM.4; Fr.10). Toned, with scuffs and surface marks both sides, scratch on cheek, good fine.

Calendar year mintage 2,370,000

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith".
