Australia, Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1866, Sydney Mint, second young filleted head left, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D:, rev. AUSTRALIA centred within crowned floral wreath, SYDNEY MINT above round, denomination ONE SOVEREIGN below round, edge milled (Bentley 648; McD 113; Marsh 371; KM.4; Fr.10). Toned with some light scratches and bagmarks, good residual mint lustre in peripheries, graded by NGC as AU58.
