Attica, Athens (c. 454-404 B.C.), Silver Tetradrachm. Head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive-leaves and a palmette, rev. AΘE, owl standing right, its head facing, an olive-sprig and a crescent behind; all within and incuse square, 17.21g., 9h (Kroll 8; SNG Copenhagen 31). With much of the crest of the helmet visible, lightly toned, good very fine to nearly extremely fine.
